Ingredients : organic elderberries, organic cinnamon sticks, organic echinacea, organic rosehips, organic cloves
Fresh ingredients needed:
4 cups distilled water
1 cup raw local honey (or other sweetener of choice)
Add contents of pouch and water to a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil, then uncover and reduce heat to a simmer for about 30 to 45 minutes until the liquid has reduced by almost half. Remove from heat and let cool until it’s lukewarm. Using a flat utensil, mash berry mixture. Then pour through a fine mesh strainer or cheesecloth into a glass jar or bowl. Discard the berry mixture. When the liquid is no longer hot, add the honey and stir well. Mixture should now resemble a syrup. Transfer to glass jar of choice. Mixture can last anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month in the fridge. Considered freezing syrup to extend the expiration date.
